GEMS are the most popular supplier of active centre diff controllers and we have worked on both subarus and evos where more accurate diff control was required.

If you want to fit a seperate active diff controller, then your 4wd car must be fitted with an existing active diff. The Subaru STi RA and most of the later Evos have active diffs fitted... for example, if an evo has a Tarmac/Gravel/Snow button then it has an ACD fitted.

GEMS has been developing active control systems for various applications since 1988. These include: Automatic and semi-automatic gearbox control, including support for H pattern and sequential gearboxes.

Clutch control including pull away.

Active differential control for four wheel drive transmission.

Active damping.

Most of the Gems ECUs have been designed for specific projects but as with all GEMS products they have the flexibility to be used for many different applications.

If you are interested in fitting a unit to your Evo or Scooby then give us a call and we can provide more info/quote etc...

Existing Gems systems are:

TC60
The TC60 is a medium complexity control unit originally designed to control three active differentials on a World Rally Championship Car.

TC65
The TC65 is a medium complexity control unit originally designed for controlling three active differentials on a World Rally Championship car. It features 6 proportional current control with current feedback or 3 full bridge 1 amp motor drivers.

TC75
The TC75 is a low complexity control unit originally designed as to control two active differentials on a World Rally Championship car. It features 2 proportional current control drives with current feedback. 4 speed inputs, 10 analogue inputs, and an RS232 serial link.

CCS - Overview
The Chassis Control System (CCS) is a single control unit that provides all the data acquisition and control functions required for a World Rally Car. It has enough functionality for controlling three active differentials, semi automatic gear change, traction control and suspension control with enough excess capacity for other future developments.
